Orryn didn't start with a workshop. It started with a question we couldn't answer at any hardware store: why does every brass pull photograph warm and deliver yellow?

We spent three years finding out. We ordered from over 40 suppliers across North America, Europe, and Southeast Asia. We tested finishes under LED task lighting, under pendant fixtures, under north-facing window light. We documented which batches drifted, which patinations were sealed properly, which weights felt right at the tenth open and which ones felt hollow by the hundredth.
